Hi I'm Lance

I grew up in Tokyo and Wyoming. I'm a husband and father and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father. I enjoy the outdoors, especially with my family. I enjoy our kids' sports, music, and Scouting. I try to balance work and commuting, with family, church and community service.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a faithful Latter-day Saint family and I am grateful for the way I was raised. During my teenage years I decided it wasn't good enough to rely on my parents' faith. I read the Book of Mormon and through prayer and study came to know that the Book of Mormon was true and that God had re-established his Church on the Earth. Since then, I have tried to live the teachings of the Church and have seen the benefits and blessings that come from living as a faithful Mormon. It is especially evident in the lives of our teenage children. We are not without challenges, but we are definitely happier living the way Jesus has taught through his modern prophets.

How I live my faith

I feel the most important and significant way I live my faith is as a husband and father. We pray and read the scriptures together every day. Our family also enjoys singing music with a gospel message. Every week we gather the family together to sing, play games, discuss issues, teach the gospel, and enjoy a tasty treat. Our family life is centered around the Church and the Church supports our family. All of us try to do our part to help others in the Church and in the community. Currently I am serving as a leader with responsibility over several congregations. We work to strengthen every individual and family. Along with my general responsibilities, I am specifically responsible for the youth programs in our area. I teach the youth and train their leaders. I find great joy in seeing the young people of the Church choose faith and experience the joy of living Christ's teachings.
