Hi I'm Kazuyoshi

I am Japanese, a former automotive engineer/a real estate investor, and a full-time Social Work Student. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a widower and was married to my beautiful late wife for nearly 9 years until she died from inflammatory breast cancer. I am also a father who adopted my late wife's two children of 27 and 29 from her previous marriage. I am currently a full-time social work student, earning a 2nd bachelor's degree. I plan to earn a master's degree in social work and become a clinical/medical social worker. When I have spare moments, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and watching and participating in sporting activities.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I know that the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and his atonement is true and real. The Plan of Happiness allows me to be married to my late wife for all eternity and be with my family forever. The Book of Mormon is true and is another testament of Jesus Christ. By reading the Book of Mormon, I am able to have a closer relationship with our Savior, Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith was/is the prophet of the restoration who was called of God to do all he had to do to restore the gospel in this latter days. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the Lord's Church. We have a living prophet here on earth who is the chosen representative of the Lord, Jesus Christ. I have had countless spiritual experiences that helped me to know that the Lord's hands are in all things; and Heavenly Father and the Lord watch over us and love each of us always in a way that suits each individual. I know that Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers in the best way he can help us, so that we grow spiritually and our experiences help us to return to him. I am so grateful to have the restored gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. I am so grateful for all the blessings that the restored gospel has brought into my life. With all the challenges and trials I have experienced in my life, I could not and would not imagine where I would be without the restored gospel, our Heavenly Father, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost who comforts us and testifies to us of all truths. I bear my witness to you that Jesus is the Christ who sacrificed to save the world because he loves us all unconditionally with the love beyond our imaginations; and Heavenly Father sent his only begotten because he wants us to return to him and bless us with all that he has. It has been a great privilege to be a member of this church.

How I live my faith

I find ways to serve the people I come in contact with every day. I try to be helpful, kind, and caring wherever and whenever I can to spread the love our living Savior has for all of us. In my community, I have been involved in the fire service as a firefighter and a board member over the last 15 years and enjoyed serving the community. I also serve in my congregation by visiting the families in my congregation and by serving in administrative capacities.

What do Mormons believe about "eternal life?"

We believe that, because our Savior, Jesus Christ, overcame death, we will all be resurrected and our spirits and bodies will be reunited. We also, believe that, through the atonement of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and by repentance, faith, receiving the ordinances of the gospel, obedience, and keeping the covenant we have made with our Heavenly Father, we are able to return to our Heavenly Father's presence and live with him forever. This allows us to be with our families forever and continue to progress in our spiritual growth. Show more Show less
