Hi I'm Joe

I'm British, a husband, a father, a brother, a son, a friend, a Mormon and I'm happy.

About Me

While I am out plotting the next bank robbery (joke!), back at the ranch, I have an amazing wife who home-schools our four fantastic little ones. I have been a missionary (in Cote d'Ivoire), a salesman, a student, ran my own construction company, and now work in IT. I love gadgets, the latest technology, good music, the piano, singing, reading good books and trying to keep close with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I've always known God lives and loves me. I know the plan that God has for us is a plan of happiness. The restored gospel of Jesus Christ teaches and confirms that knowledge in so many ways. I have tested the principles taught there and know that as I listen and obey them I am better, I am safer, I am happier.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon isn't about just Sundays. Because we are trying to be like Jesus, it should affect every part of our lives. That means at work or at school, especially in our homes and within our families and within the social brother and sisterhood of the Church. It is often a juggling act, fitting together work, family and service in the Church. I am not perfect, just striving to do my best. I make mistakes, plenty of them (just ask my wonderful wife), but I am grateful for a Saviour who paid the price for my sins, my mistakes and asks only that I remember Him. I have found that when I turn to the world or myself, I sense in myself that I am weaker, more vulnerable and just not as nice a person. It is amazing because when I do the opposite and as I turn to Him, I feel stronger, more able to be better in every aspect of my life. Truly fantastic. I love it.
