Hi I'm Karla Michelle

I'm a convert, member since 2004. I'm a Mormon & I feel very blessed.

About Me

My name is Karla. I am a very blessed wife of 15 years. My wonderful husband & I have a beautiful little girl, age 11, who is a true miracle in herself. We joined the church in 2004. Our daughter was baptized in March, 2010. I have been blessed with the talents of creativity; sewing, painting, drawing, & anythng else where I can be creative. But I am musically challenged. We just recently moved to the Orlando area and are looking forward to getting to know our new ward family.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I truly believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ. When we were first talking and learning about the church, everything started making sense to me. All of my questions that I have had over the years were finally answered; such as" Why am I going through all the joys and struggles in raising a family if it is only going to abruptly end one day? Why do I feel as if there is so much more for me? Why do I have this emptiness inside? And so many other questions...all of these were truly answered...I am not going through everything it takes to raise a family for nothing; we will be together forever. My marriage will be for all time and eternity. I will always enjoy being a wife & mother. I do have a special place in this life & in the next. The emptiness & loneliness I always felt is gone because I have Jesus Christ in my life. I am striving each day to be better than the day before. This in itself gives me purpose & direction. My husband & I were always serving others...this is who we are. We were doing, and still do, what God has commanded us all to do. To love one another. To give selflessly to others. To serve others without expecting anything in return. We had the idea of the gospel already. We just didn't know it. Now we do. But there is so much more. I do have a testimony that this church is true. Jesus Christ is our savior. I have a testimony of the power of the priesthood in our home. I have a testimony that I have been forgiven for my sins. Only with the atonement of Jesus Christ is this possible. It is so easy...If you will only live by the gospel and the road map that God has set in front of us, then you will find true joy and happiness. God never promised that it would be an easy road to travel, but He did promise that He will help us along the way, by guiding us and strengthening us; by carrying us when the load is too heavy; but also by letting us fall so we will learn to help ourselves get up & not give up...He will soften the fall, but He will not stop us from falling. He has sent special souls to help Him-help us. We just have to open our hearts. We will gain great blessings & it will be well worth the struggles & sacrifices if we only call upon Him in the name of His son, Jesus Christ. This is a probationary time. How we live & the choices we make now will show who will be able to endure & be worthy to be with Heavenly Father. I have been very blessed & I'm very greatful that our Heavenly Father chose to reveal & restore the fullness of His gospel & the true church to Joseph Smith. I am also thankful that we have a living prophet today who helps lead us. Without all of these things, I would still be lost & floundering through life. I would still be feeling alone even though I am surrounded by people who love me. I leave these things with you, in the name of Thy Son, our Savior & Redeemer, Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I have recently been given a calling to serve on the board for the women's group in our church ward. I have taken over creating the newsletter each month and I am still learning what other duties I will be given.
