Hi I'm Connie Davis

I'm a Mormon, baptized in my early 20's, but fell away from the church. I came back 30 years later, a great decision.

About Me

I am married, with two adopted children, a daughter who was 10 when we adopted her and a son who was 3-1/2 when he was adopted. We have since adopted our daughter's daughter who is now 11. We have four other grandchildren, ages 9, 6, 5 and 4. My husband is semi-retired from the California Department of Corrections (CDCR), and I am still employed by CDCR where I supervise an inmate library. I am a teacher in the Relief Society, after two years of serving as Primary Secretary (I loved working with the children). I love doing my genealogy. I also am a Girl Scout leader. I like baking and reading as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church. Even after I was baptized as a young woman, I left the church and continue to search for the "right" church. Three years ago I needed to find a church for my granddaughter, whom we had adopted. My cousin answered some questions for me about the Church, I talked to some friends from Girl Scouts who are Mormon, and I decide to give it another try. I went to church with them, and my soul felt at home. I know that God wants me to be a Mormon, and I feel blessed to be honoring Him.

How I live my faith

I just became a teacher in the Relief Society, working the ladies of the church, so it's still new to me. I loved working in the Primary, with the children. They are such a joy. I also enjoy visiting teaching, and take seriously my calling to take care of the ladies the Lord has assigned my partner and me.
