Hi I'm Paul

About Me

I'm an interactive designer and developer and recently became self-employed as a design consultant. I've been married for almost nine years and I'm a father of three sweet boys. I love to mountain bike, snowboard, take photos and spend time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother was active in the Methodist church and raised my sister and I in that church. Before the age of 22, I had many experiences including becoming close friends with some really great individuals who were members of the LDS church. I never thought the church was for me or my lifestyle, but by the time I was 22 I had an urge to learn more about the church's teachings. There was a special happiness that the members had, and my experiences in attending LDS meetings as a visitor gave me a very comforting feeling. I used a Gospel Library CD-ROM disk to research teachings of Mormon prophets and apostles and liked what I was reading. I then ordered a free Book of Mormon online and began reading it. It was a few months later I was visited by the missionaries and received their lessons and an invitation to be baptized. Being baptized is still the most profound and amazing day of my life. I attribute my successes, blessing, my family and my happiness today to that decision I made to become a member of this church.

How I live my faith

As a child I participated in a lot of sports and never was a part of the boy scouting program. My current calling has given me the opportunity to learn and be a part of the scouting program that I've learned really make a positive impact on these young men's lives. I've been on the scout committee and an adviser to the older boys. We go on camp outs and high adventure trips.

What are some things that tell to you there is a God?
