Hi I'm Travis

I'm a husband, a student, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student studying business management. I plan to go into Human Resources. I love to learn, read, and write down my thoughts (see my blog above). I love the game of golf. I am an avid fan of the Utah Jazz. I got married this pas summer to a beautiful young woman in the LDS Temple. She and I are working and studying as we are building our new little family.

Why I am a Mormon

This is a wonderful question to ponder. I have always attended the LDS Church since my childhood. My parents and siblings have always been active members. I was raised amidst its practices and principles. However, as I move on in life, I continue to be a Mormon. I do it out of the voice of my own heart. I am a Mormon because I believe in the eternal view of things. Our stay on this earth is a temporary separation from a more glorious home in which we dwelt before birth. We lived with God before, we seek and communicate with him here in life, and we have an assured hope that we will return to Him and live as He does--in forever families. There is purpose to it all. Being a Mormon gives me that daily purpose.

How I live my faith

I am part of a local ward in the town where we live. Currently, I live my faith as a brand new husband as I learn to prepare and provide for a wife and forthcoming children. I learn to love at all times, pray with my wife, study together, and face the challenges of life together. Recently, my wife and I started reading one of the LDS Hymns ( http://lds.org/cm/display/0,17631,8763-1,00.html ) each night and reading the scripture references it refers us to. It has brought the Spirit more into our lives as we learn the messages of the sacred Hymns.
