Hi I'm Tony

I've spent most my life in Utah. I've been involved in genealogy, computers and record keeping for decades. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have been married over 35 years. We have four adult children, twin grandsons, and a dog.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family. My mother's family includes early Mormon pioneers and my father's parents joined the Church in Sweden. I was taught about the Mormon Church as a child, but had to discover for myself what I believed in. I have made it a matter of prayer and I have learned that this is God's Church and through the teachings and principles of the Gospel I can find happiness and eternal joy.

How I live my faith

One thing that helps me live my faith is the opportunity to serve others. I volunteer at the Utah State Prison where I meet with inmates each Sunday. Together we share stories of faith and repentance. We talk about the role of Jesus Christ, our Savior, and how he has suffered for our sins. Because of Jesus Christ and His infinite atonement, ALL mankind may be saved.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Tony
I am able to express my love of God and support his Church by paying a tithe on my income. We read in the ten commandments, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." Exodus 20:3 When I pay my tithing to the Church, I am showing by my actions that God is more important to me than money. I recognize the many gifts I receive from heaven and express my gratitude by paying something back. Show more Show less
