Hi I'm Trev'

I grew up in Utah Valley. I love the mountains and the out doors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a down hill mountain biker enthusiast. I’ve been biking over the past ten years of my life and it's the greatest thing. Along with the down hill thrill of falling with style I’m working on a degree in architecture and engineering. So reading and designing is a big part of it all. Though, I've put all of that on hold for a small time of two years. I only have four months left but it’s the greatest thing I have ever done. Though it's been hard it's been worth it and I still get to ride every once in a while from one house to another. I love strengthening people! I've written songs back home to help people through hard times and now I'm living the dream I’m in it. I am who I am and I love it.

Why I am a Mormon

I first joined the church when I was young at the age of eight but soon after that is when my testimony came. After I was baptized both of my grandmas died in the same year I was also having a hard time being around the other kids in my school. I was an outcast and I felt all alone. I broke down one day and I was on my knees crying. I then decided to pray and ask why I’m here and if the church was true I went through a series of questions that really meant allot to me. After each question I received an answer and there came each time greater peace. I knew that heavenly father had answer my prayers and I knew that all that I had been taught was true. I knew that Jesus was the Christ and I knew that the book of moron was true and that this church is true. I believe that it was only because of my urgent need to know the truth and what god wanted for me was the reason I received an answer to my prayers. And that is why I’m a Mormon today because I know it's true and I can not deny it.

How I live my faith

I love to serve people. My dad taught me when I was young to serve others. Though at times it can get overwhelming the accomplishments that I have found from it has helped me out today. Most of my service to others as of late has been fixing peoples furniture and moving people in and out. Though, some times we get awesome project to clear out woods and peoples yards. I also serve as a missionary; yep one of the guys who wear nice clothes all day and ride bikes talking about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I do that now but when I get home I will be helping out the local Boy Scouts of America. I do my best to find ways to do what’s right and help up lift every one around me.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Husband and wife can be together forever if they keep the commandments and enter into the temple and are sealed (to bind on earth and in heaven) together for all time and eternity. As they keep the covenants they made in the sealing with heavenly father then they open the doors to the constant companion ship of each other in the Celestial kingdom (where heaven is because God is there). There in heaven we will be with our families because that is what heaven is being with family our divine family. It’s where we are suppose to be and meant to be. We will have a chance to be with all of our loved ones. All of our losses through Christ can be made up. Show more Show less

What is the First Vision?

The First Vision is when Joseph Smith first prayed to our heavenly father and received an unusual answer. The reason he prayed is because he had questions but there was one that stood out more and pressed upon his soul. That was which church if any be the true church of God. He pondered on this and came to the conclusion that he must ask of God him self. On a spring morning he went to a place he knew that would give him the peace and privacy he needed. He prayed aloud and when he did Heavenly father heard his prayer and came with his son to him. They in reality did appear to Joseph smith and gave him the answer to his hearts desire. He was told that none of the churches had the fullness of his gospel but it would be soon restored the earth. Show more Show less

Who are the Mormons?

Mormons are people who are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We are called Mormons because of the book of Mormon. In the Book of Mormon it testifies of Christ and we believe in being Christ like and doing the very best we can to become perfect like he was. Even though we do make mistakes we continue to get back up after we fall and keep moving forward. Show more Show less

How do I become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church)?

To become a member one must believe that Jesus is the Christ and act on it by repenting of our sins after you repent then you can take upon one self the name of Jesus Christ through baptism. In order to be baptized you meet with the missionaries to make sure you have an understanding of the gospel and then there will be an interview to determine your worthiness but it is mainly your testimony in Jesus Christ and the church. After baptism you receive the gift of the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands and during which you are pronounced a member of the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints. And that’s how you become a member. Show more Show less
