Hi I'm Lex

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and a father of two. Currently I am a nurse at a major medical center and love being able to care for my family and for patients by following the example of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I love to be outdoors and enjoy the beautiful world that has been created for us. I love to road bike, go on hikes in the forest and walk hand in hand with my wife and kids.

Why I am a Mormon

Since I was a child I have attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. While I was young I went because my parents said I was going. As I grew up I looked at the world around me and realized that I was better off for having gone to church and lived the teachings taught there. As I continued to read the scriptures, particularly the Book of Mormon, and pray to my Heavenly Father I could feel that He wanted what's best for me and the entirety of His desired blessings could be obtained through the fullness of the gospel contained in the LDS faith. My mother passed away from breast cancer a few days before my 12th birthday and I felt strongly that the teaching that families are forever and that I could live with my family, including my mother, after this life has given me strength to be the best person I can be to live with her again some day.

How I live my faith

I recently moved into my ward and am adjusting to a new job with different hours. Because I cannot always be at church on Sundays I was given the opportunity to work with the Cub Scouts associated with the congregations in the area. I always ask when I get to a new area when will I be assigned families to visit and share the gospel with those who attend our ward. I know this is a great opportunity to serve others and get to know the people.
