Hi I'm Frank

I'm grew up on a farm with lots of hard work and love. Now I build satellites. I'm a father and a grandfather. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love life and I love my family. I enjoy camping, photography, hiking, mountain biking, gardening, hunting, fishing and just about anything that involves the outdoors. I especially love to discuss, share and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ. I find great comfort in his words and those He gave us through his ancient and modern day prophets. I love people but also love the solitude of the wilderness. I have a beautiful family with my wife. She is the best thing that ever happened to me and has taught me many of the great lessons I have learned in life. She also has given me 5 beautiful children, who have also been the source of life's lessons. Now my grandchildren are teaching me. Through these beautiful little ones, I have come to understand how God loves all his children. I have come to know that there is no limit to the love we can have for others. I have worked in several industries over the years, farming, aerospace, electronics and packaging. I love learning how things work and how they are made. I have found that there is no better prescription for a good night's sleep than a day of hard work.

Why I am a Mormon

The explanation of why I am a Mormon is a bit of the journey of my life. The start came when I was a small boy and my mother taught me to pray. I remember kneeling by my bed with her every night as I said my prayers. She taught me to believe that there is a God in heaven who loves us and wants to help us. All we have to do is ask! So when I became a teenager and my life wasn't going so smoothly I remembered that I had gotten out of the habit of praying and decided that I needed to start praying every day again. Nothing dramatic happened but I noticed that my life started going much better. A few years later I had the opportunity to read the Book of Mormon and use that habit of prayer to a loving God to ask if it were true. I was a college freshman when I first read the Book of Mormon in its entirety. One evening after reading in that book, I knelt again by my bedside and asked God if it were true. When the answer came it was like a small arrow pierced my heart with a good feeling and I knew that it was true. Since that time there have been experiences one after another where God has answered my prayers and given me guidance in my life. I am a Mormon because my mother taught me to pray and God answered my prayers to tell me the Book of Mormon is true.

How I live my faith

It is hard for me to articulate how I live my faith because my faith is such an integral part of who I am that it seems to influence everything I do and everything I am. I try live in such a way that if anyone ever wonders about my beliefs and/or the beliefs of Mormon's, my example will show them that I am a true believer in Jesus Christ, that I know he is my savior and that only through his grace, after I have done all I can, will I be saved. I wish that all men and women would accept the challenge to ask God what is truth. I know that true happiness comes from keeping the commandments of God and loving our fellow man. One of the most important things I learned as a boy in Boy Scouts was to do a good turn daily. If we try to find someone every day to help it keeps our own challenges in the right perspective. Whenever I am discouraged by life's challenges, the quickest way to get out of that rut is to find someone I can help. Service is the greatest form of love.
