Hi I'm Kasey Ron

I LOVE life and LIVE to make friends! & I am a Mormon

About Me

I am 24 years old and I thoroughly enjoy performing in music, theater, and dance and love to curl up with a good book, write short stories, songs, and poems in my spare time. I also enjoy physical fitness and have lots of fun weightlifting, biking, running, and wrestling. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. Living what I believe is part of who I am. Last of all I love to make people smile and laugh; and most of all, I love to make friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I found out for myself that it was true. It wasn't enough to be born into a Mormon family, I wanted to know for myself. One day when I was feeling low and everything seemed so complicated and stressful I prayed to my Heavenly Father to help me in the dark hour. The answer I received can be read in Mosiah 4:6-8. It made salvation seem so much more simple. It eased my worry and reminded afresh of how well my Heavenly Father knows me and cares for me. I love the scriptures, and I can't get enough of it! Everytime I hear a scripture reference I'm not familiar with I look it up as soon as I can and peruse it and memorize it so I can use it later. What a blessing it is to have the words of our Eternal Father at our fingertips! I'm so glad the Lord inspired prophets to pen the answers to every question we have today! I know the answers to any and all soul searching questions can be found in the Book of Mormon. This is because Mormon, who compiled and abridged to make what we have today as the Book of Mormon had a very special experience. (See Mormon 8) The Lord blessed him to see our day so he could know exactly what it was we needed in theses trying times. I love the Book of Mormon!

How I live my faith

I am a social butterfly. I love meeting people and even more than that, I love establishing lasting friendships. I know that we are all children of a loving Heavenly Father who cares deeply for each and every one of us. I know He values who I am as an individual and wants me to be true to what He made me to be. I also love to sing and smile nearly everywhere I go because I know “that by and simple things are great things brought to pass” Alma 37 verse 6

What is the Law of Chastity?

Kasey Ron
The Law of Chastity consists of abstinence from all sexual conduct before marriage and complete fidelity within the bonds of marriage. I feel the best thing I could tell my wife is this "I loved you before I met you." How? I chose to save myself for you because I know that's what God intended. Procreation is a sacred power that God has blessed us with so that we can raise families and nurture those who will someday grow up and influence the world around them for the better. I know that children have endless potential to become whatever they put their minds to and practice throughout their lives. I'm so grateful for my loving parents who raised me and continue to be a source of counsel and help. When I have children of my own someday, I hope they always remember they are children of God (Romans 8 verse16) and that they are of infinite worth. What an added confidence and self worth it brings, as well as a responsibility to honor your Heavenly Father with your actions! Show more Show less

How are modesty and chastity related? How can parents teach their children to be modest in dress, language and behavior?

Kasey Ron
In 2 Corinthians 6 verse19 we learn that our bodies are the Temple of Holy Ghost. This means they should be treated with great care and respect. Modesty is important because when one is immodest it can be a burden to others who are trying have virtuous thoughts. The standards of modesty that we strive to live by can be found in For the Strength of Youth. Also the 13th Article of Faith and Philippians 4 verse 8 both explain why adhere to these standards. When we dress the part of striving for "power in purity" we uplift others and we are blessed to have the Lord's Holy Spirit to guide us. Show more Show less

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Kasey Ron
The first thing you want to do when you experience something wonderful is share it with others. Everyone no matter who they are can have an increase of faith, a stronger testimony, and greater peace in their life. We are all God's children so it's our duty to seek out our brothers and sisters and invite them to come unto Christ by recieving the restored gospel. That is our purpose. Show more Show less

Who was Joseph Smith?

Kasey Ron
Joseph Smith grew up in the 1800's on a farming community in upstate New York. When he was 14 he was concerned aobut the welfare of his soul. He wasn't sure which way to follow God was best because where he lived there were many different churches. After investigating and asking questions to many of the preachers in the area he concluded the only thing he knew for sure was that the Bible was the word of God. So one day as he was reading James he read some verses that hit him really hard. James chapter 1 verse 5 and 6 "If any of you lack wisdom let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not .but let him ask in faith, nothing wavering . .."  After reading this he decided he needed to pray to know the truth. So after retiring to a grove of trees he offered up a prayer to his Father in Heaven. In response to his prayer the adversary Satan tried to stop him but exerting all of his might to call on God, an amazing miracle took place. The Father and His Son, Jesus Christ appeared to him. When he was 17 Joseph was visited by heavenly messengers who prepared him to fill the role of a prophet of God. A prophet is a spokesman for the Lord and he speaks to the whole world inviting God's children to repent and follow the example of His Son Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

Who are the Mormons?

Kasey Ron
The Mormons are your neighbors. We're Christian and we consider family values vital to the fabric of society. We make mistakes like everyone else but we we do our best to improve and be a little better each day. We believe that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. Without Him we wouldn't have true happiness or peace in this life or the next. We love to serve our fellowmen in word and deed! Mosiah 2 verse 17 Book of Mormon “...when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God.”    Show more Show less

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Kasey Ron
To be baptized is a commandment from God. see John 3 verse 5 Jesus Himself was baptized see Matthew 3 verses 13-17 and 2 Nephi 31 verses 5-12 But what about the millions who have lived and dided and never even heard of Jesus Christ? We believe missionary work takes place in the Spirit World. Here on earth in holy temples one who is worthy can be baptized for one who is dead, (1 Corinthians 15:29) thus acting as proxy. Of course the person they are baptized for can accept or reject it. What a sacred privilege to labor on behalf of our loved ones who have passed on! The names of those who are baptized for are not added to the membership records of the church. Jesus did for us that which we could not do for ourselves when he lived a perfect life and then took all our sorrows, sins and sickness upon Himself, died for us on the cross, and rose again on the third day. I find it so fulfilling to serve and help those who have left this life and are waiting for their work to be done. What a glorious work! How great is the mercy of our God! Show more Show less

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Kasey Ron
The Book of Mormon is a another testament of Jesus Christ. Just like the Bible it contains the writings of holy men of God, apostles and prophets, who testify of Christ as our Savior and Redeemer. The Book of Mormon has a remarkable perspective because all those who took part in it thousands of years ago, knew that they were writing for the benefit of a future generation. As such it has a very personal meaning as you read it because each writer addresses you in first person. As you read you can feel the love they have for the Lord and for all who read their words. The Book of Mormon ends with a promise that all who read it and sincerely pray can know by the Holy Spirit that it is truly the word of God. (Moroni 10:4) Show more Show less
