Hi I'm Heather Feather

I love sewing. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from college with a family sciences and clothing construction major. I've been sewing for fun since high school and sewing professionally for five years. I absolutely love sewing and creating. I sew for myself, my family, and my home. I'm married to my sweetheart who supports me and my messy creativity. My experiences in life have taught me that family is my first priority and that's where I find true joy. I always do my best to put my family first.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the hope and joy it brings into my life. Joy is to be with my family, and I have faith that I can be together with my family forever. This is possible because of Jesus Christ. He gave his life for me, for everyone, so that we all can return to live with Him. His sealing power has bound me to my husband and family, so that when we die we will be together again. I have felt His overwhelming, life-changing love for me. I am constantly amazed at His sacrifice and love for me. He has brought be up out of the hardest times of my life and shown me love, so I have hope for another, better day.

How I live my faith

A wonderful, creative neighbor inspired me when I was young that fashionable clothing can be modest but not frumpy. Modesty is important to me because it gives me confidence that people are looking at me and not just my body. It gives me true self-esteem. I know that modesty can help the self-esteem of women and girls. I want to inspire others on how to be creative, fashionable, and modest. Besides dressing modestly, I love being a wife and hope to one day be a mother. I also love being involved with the women in my ward. I know that women can be a great force for good. Whenever I'm with them, I feel their goodness rubbing off on me.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Heather Feather
I know that I will be with my husband forever after this life. I have felt the power of the priesthood seal me to him if we both are righteous. I know that any children we have will also be sealed to us. We will be with our parents, siblings, ancestors, and descendants.  Show more Show less

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Heather Feather
Mormon women are just like any other women. They come from different cultures with different backgrounds and personalities. They have similar wants and needs like Non-Mormon women. Mormons believe that men and women are equal, but they have different roles. These roles help us accomplish what God wants us to. God loves both genders and has specially designed the roles for our good. Show more Show less
