Hi I'm Marian Hobson

I'm a Mom, I'm a wife, I'm Leadership Development Professional and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the 9th of 10 kids, wife of a wonderful husband, a mom of 3, step-mom to 2 and aunt to 45. I love being myself whether I am in a business meeting, volunteer association or family get together. For many years I struggled to identify who I was because I was always trying to be what other people wanted me to be. Over the years I have had phases of being able to just BE ME. Each time it has come about by coming closer to Christ and what He would have me to be.

Why I am a Mormon

I attended the Mormon church for all of my life. I consider myself a well educated person because I study a variety of subjects from a variety of sources. At times my studying (or other experiences) caused me to wonder about the Mormon church however, God always clears my doubts and confusion. I left my career in advertising sales at the "top of my game" (having been awarded numerous times for my sales and results) to stay home with my children as they arrived. It wasn't a hard decision to make but it has occasionally been a hard decision to live up to. Family need required me to create income and so I began to take my skills as a leader and trainer on the road. I am grateful for a prophet who helps me remember I'm a Mom first, even when my kids have to sacrifice for my career. He shows me how to teach my children moral values. I am saddened by the worldwide trend that "anything goes". As a parent I have learned over and over true peace and true safety lies in having discipline, set guidelines and rules. I wish more parents would have the courage to teach their children the same instead of letting them "chose" an overly free life.

How I live my faith

I connect with God regularly throughout the day. I read the holy word on a daily basis. I sing songs of faith to cheer the daily road. I know that God knows me and my needs.
