Hi I'm Becky

I'm a wife, a mom, and my family is my greatest blessing! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mom, and I find my greatest accomplishments in my children and in my relationship with my spouse. I am a librarian and enjoy reading books. I have danced and taught dance. I love to express my creativity in decorating. My favorite season is the fall and Christmas season. Being a Mormon has brought me happiness, peace, and comfort through out my life and continues to. My testimony and my family are my greatest blessings.

Why I am a Mormon

It is who I am, it is what I believe in my heart to be true, it is how I was raised, it is my life full of good experiences, challenging experiences, and overcoming trials that have provided me my own personal testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Even though I was raised by parents who had their own testimonies and raised me with the gospel and the values that accompany it, I had to go through my own conversion process, and find out for myself how the gospel really brought happiness, peace, and purpose to my life. By theses experiences I continue to have, I have a testimony of Jesus Christ, the plan of salvation, and that one day I will have the opportunity to return back to my Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I try to live by the motto of "Treat others the way you would hope others would treat you." Reaching outside myself and being a friend. Being available to be a strength to others when hope seems to be lost. And spending time with my family, taking time to pray with my children, and sharing my testimony regularly of our Father in Heaven, Jesus Christ, and the gospel principles.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Becky
Families are what shape us and mold us and have the greatest impact on who we become and what we do with our lives. It's in our families where we learn to serve others, be there for each other, and rely on their support to get us through hard times. All the things I accomplish and achieve will never mean as much as the relationships I have with my husband, my children, my parents, my sisters, brother, and extended family. My greatest happiness is when love is present in my family relationships. The gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is centered around the family and teaches us that those relationships can be lasting, even when loved ones have passed on. I long for the day when I will see my dad again and be able to talk with him and give my dad a hug. Show more Show less

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

Becky
First and for most their role is to love each other, and to care for each other. I truly believe if this happens it will carry over to their children, and I know happiness and success will happen within the family unit. I know that when we love each other the way would want to be loved, make an effort to be aware of each others needs, try to support each other, and to put each other first the greatest respect is developed and nurtured, and a deeper love and friendship will grow. A father and a mother also have the greatest influence on their children. When they share the responsibilities in the home, work together and make the family the first priority; their example will have the greatest impact on their children and will continue on in their children's lives.
