Hi I'm Steven

I'm a small town kid in the big city. I'm a dad for the third time. I don't sleep much. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a little town. I graduated from college in Information Systems and then got my MBA. I currently work in technology as a project manager. I am an avid traveler. I love to see new places and people. I am inspired by nature. I will play any sport at any time. I west coast swing, two step, and waltz. I love desserts, the theatre, and a good book. I'm a dad of three small kids and can't remember my last good night sleep.

Why I am a Mormon

Many of my ancestors were taught the gospel of Jesus Christ in their native countries and then emigrated to the United States. Both of my parents are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I was raised in a good home where the principles of Jesus Christ were taught. Throughout my life I have fallen back to the solid foundation of faith in Jesus Christ that I was taught as a child. As I have faced the ups and downs that life threw at me, I have learned that lasting peace and happiness comes through following the teachings of the Savior. Now, as I begin my own family, I find comfort to know that through the blessings of the gospel my family can be together forever. I know that with the Saviors help I can be the type of husband and father I want to be.

How I live my faith

Over the past few years I've had the great opportunity to be a teacher. I've taught the adult Sunday school classes and a class designed to help others prepare to go to the holy temple for the first time. I've taught young men and now I get to teach children. Through all of these experiences, my classes have taught me more than I've taught them. I have worked in homeless shelters, prepared food for the poor, and cleaned up yards. With others help, I have worked to create humanitarian kits that have been sent to those in need all over the world. In addition, I try to follow the teaching of the Savior to strengthen the feeble knees and lift the hands that hang down in my daily life. I am truly amazed at the power of a kind word, a listening ear, and a heart felt smile.
