Hi I'm David

I am...from Utah, a student, a husband, a father, and a proud member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

About Me

I am an information systems major at the University that I attend. For those of you who do not know what that means, I like to connect computers together into networks. As part of my degree, I am also required to learn how to program computers. This is also an amazing thing to learn about. I am also in the Seminary teaching program and hope to help "grow the kingdom." I have been married a little over two years and my wife and I are the proud parents of one child, a boy who is just over a year old. we also have a second child on the way which is also a boy! We are really excited. Aside from computers, I also like to work on my own cars and i do my best to fix whatever problems we have around the house. my goal is to be a "do it yourself" type of guy. However, I also accept the help that others offer me, I think it is a great thing when one can admit a need and accept the help that is offered.

Why I am a Mormon

Simply because I know for myself that this is God's true church. I found out by reading from and praying about the book of Mormon. I asked Heavenly Father if the Book of Mormon is true and He answered me one day while I was reading the book of Mormon. At the time I was preparing to serve a full-time mission for the church and I needed to know if this was the true church, if I should go and if I was worthy to go. While reading in Alma 38 2-3, although the words were originally from Alma to his son, I felt as if the Lord was speaking those same words directly to me. I found my answer. On that day, God had spoken to me personally and addressed concerns that I had never expressed to anyone but Him. Since then, I can honestly say that I know without a doubt that God lives and Knows me personally and that the book of Mormon is true and that this is God's true church. It is because of this and many other reasons that I am proud to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

There are many ways I live my faith. I am currently the leader of a group of men in the ward congregation that I attend. As part of being a leader, I have been given many opportunities to serve others in various ways. Some of which are, to teach, lead, interview and counsel with individually and as a group, the members of my ward. I have been privileged to be called on by many of these members to help them when they were moving, re-modeling their houses, doing landscaping and many other activities of the sort. This has been a wonderful blessing for me to have been a leader of such wonderful people.
