Hi I'm Giselle

I grew up in Brasil and I was baptized into the Mormon Church in Brasil in 1993.

About Me

I am originally from Brasil. I came to the United States in 1997 to study English as a second language and a couple of years later I met my husband and we married in the Salt Lake Temple. Moving away from my family in Brasil was difficult but marvelous personal growth experience for me. I learned to rely in Heavenly fathers guidance and support in every situation and by doing so I increased faith and knowledge of who I am and what I am destined to be as a heavenly father's daughter.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was in Brasil I Strongly desired to know that God Lived. I was born catholic but that faith was not fullffiling my soul neither answering my deepest questions or increasing my faith no matter what I did to participate in mass services and other activities. At the age of 15 I started to visit other churches to find out which one was true. I believed that only one must be true. Finally a couple of years later the missionaries found me and I was able to receive the answers that I for so long wanted to know. I received a witness or testimony that the church was true the only one the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints. My Soul is now fulfilled I have found what I was looking for. I am eternally grateful to Heavenly Father for the gospel in my life.

How I live my faith

Every day is a day of applying the gospel teachings in my life. Jesus Christ example of love and kindness is a constant inspiration to me day to day. In my calling in the Church as a assistant secretary I take the roll and I design a newsletter that contains several useful information to our the members of our ward including a spotlight of some of our members in the ward. This helps me to know everyone in my ward better and at the same time helps other people in our ward to know each other. Everyone matters so when someone is not present in church on a Sunday we pray for them and telephone or visit them to see what their needs are. I greet people with love and welcome them in our ward wether they are members of our faith or not. My heart is always full of joy when we have visitors or new members. I make sure to usher them in our classes and sacrament meeting and that they feel welcome. It gives me a deep joy and gratitude to serve them in this simple manner.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Simply ask Hevanly father. The key to receiving an answer is sincerity. Ask in sincere, honest heart felt desire to know if the Church is true. I promise you if you ask in this manner YOU WILL RECEIVE AN ANSWER and that answer will be clear and powerful within you. In other words you will receive a witness or a testimony that it is true. Also advise reading the Book of Mormon while praying for an answer because the Book of Mormon will be a way to receiving your answer to prayer as well. I invite you to try it. Show more Show less
