Hi I'm Sarah

I have a degree in mechanical engineering, but choose to stay at home with my son. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Idaho, and I moved with my family to Utah when the hospital my dad was working at merged with another one. I married my husband in December 2009 and we have a beautiful little boy. I graduate in May 2011 with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Even though I have a "nerdy" degree, I really like sports (volleyball and soccer) and hiking as well as crocheting and piano. Since having my little one, it's been a struggle to get back to where I'm used to being fitness-wise, but I know that I can and will get there if I keep trying

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up in the church. Everyone in my family is a Mormon. I love the joy that comes from knowing that I can be with my family into the eternities, that we are connected to our ancestors in one huge family line. I know that those who have passed on watch over me and support me. I know that Jesus Christ atoned for my sins and that He lives. I am so grateful to Him. Through Him I can be forgiven of my sins, strengthened in my weaknesses, and guided through hard decisions. It is wonderful to know that I can lean on Him, that I am never alone, that He understands all of my sorrows and joys, and that He loves me.

How I live my faith

In my ward I help, encourage, and remind the women of our ward to visit each other. Through this "visiting teaching," we strengthen each other in friendship and faith. We are better able to serve each other when we know what service is needed. Through visiting teaching and by listening to the holy ghost we are better able to know how and when to serve the members of our ward.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon was written by prophets of the Lord who lived on this continent before Christ's birth and several hundred years after his death. Mormon, a prophet from that time, compiled the most of the Book of Mormon before passing it on to his son to finish. Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon through Show more Show less
