Hi I'm Richard D.

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 36 year old Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have been given trials in this life I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy, and I can testify that Jesus Christ and His atonement have cleansed me and made me whole again.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but growing up in the church in Utah it became more social than spiritual. Thankfully God has given me a personalized course on learning His gospel, and I am on a much better path than where my teen years took me. Now I remain positive and active because of a very sacred experience I had while going through my healing-recovery. Part of that experience I can share by telling you that through the experience I have come to know that God truly is there, He loves us more than we remember and never gives up on us. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's true, and living, church again upon the earth. With all the keys, powers, and covenants as when Christ came in the Meridian of time. Joseph Smith saw God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, and just like Joseph records, they did in fact speak to Him and were tangible, glorious, living beings that had bodies like ours, but more perfected and pure. We are lead today by a living Prophets and they are literally led by our Savior, Jesus Christ, Jehovah, the Great I Am. I know this to be true, just as I know I am breathing and alive. In the Name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I enjoy serving in any capacity that I am truly capable of doing, and find life very rewarding when volunteering at a Bishop's storehouse, humanitarian projects, and even local service projects. I love serving in Temples as well as just touring the grounds and studying what knowledge is available in the different visitor Centers. Because I can't drive I enjoy indexing names of ancestors for the purpose of giving as many as possible the chance to compile their own family history work and granting opportunity for deceased members of God's family a chance to progress. And lastly I enjoy reading of my own family's history and their testimonies of the truthfulness of this work.

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Richard D.
Our bodies are the instruments of our spirits. Taking care of them is a key to out being able to not only live, but to live happily in this life. Being in the hospital is no fun at all. Show more Show less
