Hi I'm Matt

I'm a mature student, married, with five children, working in the fitness industry. I'm also a Mormon and always have been.

About Me

I'm currently a sport and exercise science student and juggling that with being a father of five and working as a gym instructor/personal trainer at the university where I study. I enjoy family time and weight training.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because, to me, it seems the way that Christ's Church should be and teach. Everything is geared towards helping us follow the example of the Saviour.

How I live my faith

I work with the adult males in the congregation that I attend, teaching and helping co-ordinate their ecclesiastical responsibilities. I visit the homes of our members to offer spiritual and physical support. I served for two years as a full-time missionary where I taught the gospel and provided service to the communities in which I was assigned.

Are Mormons Christians?

A Christian is anyone who worships and is a follower of Jesus Christ. I revere Him as my Saviour and Redeemer and strive to follow His example. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Jesus Christ was the creator, he is our redeemer, and he will be our judge. He is the only way to God our Heavenly Father and eternal life, the greatest of all the gifts of God. He stands at the head of all the children of God as His perfect Son and is the example for the rest of us to emulate. Show more Show less

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Jesus Christ is the central figure in human history. Although he led a simple life, devoid of many of the supposed trappings of greatness, his mission made possible the bridging of the chasm that stands between God and man. Without him, God's plan of happiness for us would have been stopped in its tracks and we would be without hope. His atonement, death and resurrection paved the way for all of God's children (us!) so that we may have hope for life after death and in life eternal, the kind of life God our Heavenly Father lives, that is bestowed upon those who follow the example and teachings of Jesus Christ. How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Above all, faith is a doing word. Do the things that Christ asks of us and your faith will grow into knowledge that saves, bringing peace in this life and happiness in the world to come. Show more Show less
