Hi I'm Andrew

I'm a Husband, a Father, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to a beautiful woman. I have two smart kids that always keep me laughing. I love learning. I love reading biographies about great people and seeing how they overcame difficulties and challenages.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My parents are active members that encouraged me to gain a testimony of Jesus Christ and his gospel. As I got older I began to realize that I needed to gain a personal testimony of Christ's restored church. I tried to study the Bible and Book of Mormon daily. I strived to have more heart-felt prayers to my Heavenly Father. As I did these things, over a long period of time, I knew that God was aware of me. I felt a burning in my heart that, to me, testified of the truthfulness of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know that this is the only true church on the earth in our day. I know this by the power of the Holy Spirit. Though I am far from becoming like my Savior Jesus Christ, I take comfort in knowing that I am on the right track and He is pleased with me.

How I live my faith

In the congregation that I attend, I have been given the assignment to teach a youth Sunday School class. Teaching youth ages 14-18 is always exciting. It is humbling to hear about the challenages that they deal with and overcome everyday.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. For me having faith in Jesus Christ means to trust Him. My faith in Jesus Christ is increased when I try to live my life the way He lived. That is often easier said than done. However, one simple way to do this is to serve thoses around you. It doesn't matter who a friend, a neighbor, a co-worker, or a family member. It doesn't matter what the service is, it could be raking leaves, doing to dishes, making dinner, or spending time with someone. We always grow to love those we serve. In this way we can increase our faith in Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

Why is family so important to Mormons?

God is our Heavenly Father. We are His sons and daughters. We are all members of a very large family. Because we know that these relationship can last forever, we strive to build strong families that have faith in Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
