Hi I'm Nancy Jane

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the seventh daughter of ten children--eight girls and two boys in that order. After graduating from BYU, I married my husband who is from Georgia. I am the mother of eight children--three girls and five boys and now fifteen grandchildren. It is heavenly. Unfortunately, they live in Utah, North Carolina, Florida, Texas and Arkansas. Also, my youngest son is serving as a missionary in the Czech Republic. I love making quilts and taking pictures. Geocaching has become a hobby of mine too especially with the grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a Mormon family and have pioneer ancestry on my mother's and father's sides of the family. But it was when I was 19-years-old that I received a spiritual confirmation that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was true and that I wanted to follow that path. I receive so much joy and happiness in living the Gospel.

How I live my faith

We have over 100 missionaries serving throughout the world from our two small communities of about 10 people. One of my responsibilities in the Church is to contact the parents of these missionaries or the senior missionaries and have them submit an update of their mission and a picture of themselves. I then edit and format all of the updates into a newsletter and send a digital copy to the parents. The parents print out a hard copy and mail it to their missionary. It is thrilling to hear of the great service these missionaries are giving. I also serve as the Cub Master in our Ward. There are about 12 boys in three dens. It is great serving in the Church.
