Hi I'm Tiffany

I love my family, the great outdoors and working in a hospital. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a woman of two homes. I was born out west in Salt Lake City, nestled in mountains. I grew up on horseback and hiking trails. For college, I moved up north to Minneapolis. I have traded my horse for a bike and my hiking trails for moved paths through forests. Either way, I love being outside - running, biking, rock climbing, camping, or smelling flowers. I work at an inner city hospital as a physician assistant. I just finished school this year, and am still quite a newbie, but I love what I do. There is something palpable about being able to take time with people in their dark and afraid moments, and being able to rejoice with people when the weight of illness has been lifted. I have been married for four and a half years to a computer geek/alternative sports nut/11 year old at heart. We have a lot of fun, and he teaches me new things every day.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a student of science. I think in lists and I enumerate talking points in every day conversation. And yet, my reasons for being a Mormon are reasonable but not provable. I feel it is right. I have felt the presence and approval of our Heavenly Father while reading scripture, and attending meetings, and serving others. These feelings are my proof. That is the beauty of the gospel - everyone is entitled to their own proof.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by seeing everyone as a child of God. I heard in a church talk once that if you treat everyone with whom you come in contact as though they were going through a hard time, most of the time you will be right. I try to remember that. In more concrete terms, I live my faith by working in the temple with my husband. I serve as a leader in our organization for teenage girls. Watching them grow reminds me that there is always something to look forward to.

How can we stop the spread and influence of pornography?

Don't use it. Don't laugh and agree when your friends joke about it. Don't be silent! Do respect yourself and don't allow anyone of the opposite sex treat you any less than you deserve. Show more Show less

Why do Mormons perform proxy baptisms in their temples?

Heavenly Father loves all of us and wants us all to have the chance to return to Him. However, he has said that baptism is a necessary ordinance to return to live with Him. We perform these ordinances for all our ancestors so that if they choose the gospel in the afterlife, there will be no barriers to returning to Him. Show more Show less
