Hi I'm Steve

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Southern California and recently graduated college with an engineering degree. I love playing all types of sports and spending time in the outdoors. I have a great wife (whom I love dearly) and she recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl.

Why I am a Mormon

Jesus Christ is the reason that I am Mormon. My parents, friends, and teachers taught me while growing up and some people could say that these people greatly influenced my decision to be a Mormon. Though it is true that my parents, friends, and teachers have greatly influenced me, it was and continues to be my personal decision to be a Mormon. My core belief is that Jesus Christ lives and is my personal Savior. It's like what Nephi taught in 2 Nephi 25:26 "... we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins." I believe that the fullness of Christ's gospel is taught in the Mormon church. Because my core believe is in Jesus Christ, I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Imagine a room filled with teenagers at 6:00 am on a school day. Now imagine that these teenagers are alert and ready to learn about the gospel of Jesus Christ. Can you imagine? Though I am very busy with a full time job and family, I wake up extra early each and every school day to teach teenagers about Jesus Christ. Each class is about an hour and the classes last for the entire school year. I am not paid for my service, but I give it willingly because I know that these teenagers become better people as they come to know Jesus Christ.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Steve
God has a plan for us to learn and grow. As part of this plan, we are born into families. The purpose of a family is to create an environment where children can learn and grow. I remember my family-my parents taught me right from wrong and provided for me so that I could succeed in life. My family gave me the strength to overcome difficult situations. Not all families are the same and many have been through difficult times. No family is perfect, but we have to remember that family is the support that God gives us to overcome the many obstacles that we face in life. I believe that the family is central to God's plan and that families were created to help God's children return to Him. Show more Show less
