Hi I'm Phil L.

I try to encourage others to see the good in their lives. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

There is so much beauty in life. But it may take a trained eye, ear, and heart to see it. Doing so brings encouragement and joy in everyday living. One way I try to do that is through photography. As in photography, by seeing things with another perspective, we can see the Lord's plan of happiness for us and encourage others to do the same.

Why I am a Mormon

I love my Heavenly Father and I feel His love for me. In turn, I want others to feel the joy of living the Gospel amidst the trials through which they are called to pass. The Gospel of Jesus Christ makes clear my path and gives reason for hope when things get rough. As I live the commandments and help others to do likewise, I can become more Christlike.

How I live my faith

In my employment, I look for ways to help others to do what is right and follow their conscience in making life's important decisions and act on what they know is good and true.

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

Phil L.
Imagine having the kindest, wisest counselor constantly at your side, especially when difficult decisions are to be made. We can! Though baptism and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, the inner promptings which have led you to the best decisions in your life can become clearer and more active. You will have more peace and be able to increase the peace and comfort in the lives of your loved ones. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Phil L.
Our kind and loving Heavenly Father knows our deepest desire is to return to His presence. But He knew we would fall short of that desire, so He provided a savior to make up the difference. The atoning power of Jesus Christ bridges the gap between our best efforts and what is required to return to Him. Show more Show less

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Phil L.
My wife, my best friend, is most interesting and engaging. As we go through this life together, we marvel at the tender mercies our Heavenly Father extends to us daily through our joys and sorrows. Understanding we can be together forever gives richness to our experiences and encourages us through our trials. Show more Show less
