Hi I'm Cori
I'm a college student, blogger and social media guru. I'm a Mormon.
I'm a senior in college, studying Media & Communications! I discovered my love for Media & Communications after entering the blogosphere and joining Facebook & Twitter. I am excited to use my love of social media in my daily life once I graduate! I am also a nanny who specializes in watching multiples. I have watched many families with twins, triplets, quadruplets and even a set of quintuplets! Love the constant chaos and busy-ness that is associated with caring for many babies! I currently watch triplets and think I have the best job in the world! You can find me on my blog - http://corisbigmouth.com or on twitter @corisbigmouth.
I was born to a family where my mom is a member and my dad isn't. I remember occassionally going to church during my younger years, but then we stopped when I was about 6 years old. I was inactive until about age 10, when my mom decided it was important for my sisters & I to be apart of the church. I remember it was really hard the first few weeks. Pleading with my mom, "not this week, next week I promise I'll go." My mom was insistant and off to church we went. I was baptized when I was 10 and feel I joined the church at just hte right time - before Young Women's, where I met many wonderful friends and leaders who to this day still are an important prat of my life. I've now been an active member in the church again for 16 years and am so very thankful to my mom for making us return. I love my family very much and am so thrilled to know that one day I will be sealed to my parents and will get to be with them forever. In the meantime, I am lucky to have a father, who while not interested in joining (yet), is the most supportive father ever. There hasn't been a talk, lesson or calling I have had that he hasn't been right there rooting me on. I feel extremely blessed that he is so supportive of my mom, sister and I being active members! In addition to my family, knowing that I have a loving heavenly father in heaven who is there for me no matter what happens. I am thankful for the gospel being such an important part of my life and all the wonderful people who have supported, taught and loved me over the years! I love my life!
Within Church: I currently am the Relief Society Secretary in my ward. Relief Society consists of all the women within are ward that are over the age of 18. Having this calling has taught me a lot, not just about the church, but also myself. My favorite calling I have ever had was working in the nursery with the children ages 18months-3 years old. I love working with the little children and watching them learn about the church and their Heavenly Father's love for them. Outside of Church: I work for a foodbank type company, who provides everything a baby and child would need from birth to age 14. I feel honored to get to help children who truly have nothing. I get to help them find success in life by being able to be a "normal" child, with clothes, toys, shoes and other necessities a child needs. It's a very rewarding job!
