Hi I'm Halli

I'm a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a very Mormon community with lots of Mormon friends. I married my husband after a year of college and moved away from my childhood home. We both graduated with Bachelor's degrees and are now working in our respective fields of study. The community that I now live in is very different from the one that I grew up in, but I have learned so much by being exposed to all different view-points and backgrounds. My faith and beliefs have changed and evolved as I have gotten older. I have an appreciation for all faiths and belief systems, but I feel like the Mormon church is were I belong and fit in. I come from a long line of Mormon ancestors and I believe at times that their faith pushes me forward.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe that this is where God wants me to be. I often pray for God's guidance in my life and I have had many experiences that guide me to stay in this church. As someone who grew up going to the Mormon church with my family, I can see the benefits and blessings that come from it. Now that I am an adult, sometimes I see or experience things that challenge my faith, but I have a strong feeling that this is where God wants me to be, so I push through. Although I often feel like I have more questions than answers, I do believe that God loves us and He will direct us if we pray to Him for guidance.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by putting one foot in front of the other, day after day. Sometimes I get frustrated or discouraged, but I find strength as I learn of and talk about Jesus Christ. I turn to the New Testament often to find ways to be a better Christian. I try to look for the good things in my life, in the church, and in the people around me. My faith keeps me moving forward.
