Hi I'm Jacob Cottam

I'm a Mormon in Idaho who happens to also be a Walgreens pharmacist.

About Me

I work for Walgreens as a pharmacist. Being a pharmacist can be very stressful at times, but having the knowledge of a loving, personal Heavenly Father helps get me through those stressful times. When I remember that he is always there for me and that I can pray to when needed, it helps me get through life. Also, I am grateful for the opportunity that I had to spend 2 years serving others while on a mission in the Baton Rouge area. One of the other things that I enjoy doing is playing the piano. I enjoy arranging hymns and other pieces of music on my free time.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon all of my life. I truly didn't gain strong knowledge and understanding of the church doctrines until my teenage years. I am grateful for the peace and comfort that the gospel brings to me in my life. One of the things I am most grateful for is that we have a living prophet today, President Thomas S. Monson. He was called of God, and God guides him on a daily basis as he leads the Mormon church. I am also grateful for the 12 apostles on the Earth today. They were also called of God, and help to guide this church just as the apostles did back in Jesus Christ's time.

How I live my faith

I participate in home teaching. Home teaching is where the men in the church are assigned some of the members to visit on a monthly basis. That is one of the ways that we watch out for and comfort the fellow members of the church. In the community, I volunteer whenever I can. I donate blood to the American Red Cross often. By serving others, I feel that I am also serving God.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Jacob Cottam
Yes, a husband and wife can be together forever, even after they die. If that were not so, I feel that the family relationship would kind of meaningless. We do believe that families will live together in heaven. Show more Show less
