Hi I'm Shane Max

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am an Process Development Engineer for a medium size Semiconductor Manufacturing Company. I have 5 children, 4 grandchildren and more on the way. I love electronics, flying airplanes, Hiking, shooting, and Ham radio. I am the kind of person that always has a project. I love to do things myself. It is a real challenge to pick a project, research it out, make the necessary tools, and then perform the task. Learning and doing the task often is more important to me than the completed project. Consequently, I have several completed projects that now are more like trophies of the project rather than useful items.

Why I am a Mormon

All my life I have wondered what life was about. If this world was set up by an intelligent being, then there must be intelligent expectations for those of us who participate. For me the LDS Church and the Gospel of Jesus Christ has provided a guide or instructions on those "intelligent expectations". It all seems to make sense to me, not just logically, but even in my heart. I am drawn to it like steel to a magnet.

How I live my faith

I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. For me, it is a plan of contant change. I am always trying to understand who I am, and then try to change into something better. I remember the first day I made banana bread. I marveled at how black and brused bananas could be transformed into such a wonderful bread. They had to be mixed with a few things and pass through the heat of the oven, but the result was wonderful. The Gospel for me is similar to banana bread. I need to "mix" a few things into my character and pass through the "oven" of repentance (often). I am absolutely convinced that If I continue this pattern I too can become transformed into something very useful and wonderful as compared to the brused and black bananas.
