Megan: Mormon.

Hi I'm Megan

About Me

Hello! I come from a family of seven kids and loving parents who raised us in the Mormon church. My family is spread across the U.S. in 7 states. I get to see at least a couple of them every year. My hobbies are gardening, sewing, knitting, family history, and playing games. I love helping others. It's great to lift someone's burden or just be an ear to listen. I mentor a foster child through a state program. It has been so much fun hanging out and getting to know her for the past few years. I hope I can be a good influence in her life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been Mormon my whole life. When I was a teenager I prayed to Heavenly Father to know whether or not this church was true. I had always gone by what my parents had said. My prayers were answered that this is the true church on the earth today. Since then I have had many experiences that confirms my feelings about this church. I can testify of it's truthfulness. I feel peace and comfort everyday through the spirit. The spirit guides and directs my life. I am so thankful I can turn to God in prayer for help, direction, or just to let him know how I'm feeling. I know he is always listening.

Personal Stories

What blessings have come through your faith in Jesus Christ?

Many blessings have come to my life through my faith in Jesus Christ. One in particular is my outlook on life. I was born with a health condition and it can be really easy to get down on yourself and ask why me. Why do I have to have this health condition? Why can't I just be normal like everyone else? But through my faith in Jesus Christ I know the answer to these questions. I know why I'm here. I know why I have a health condition. I know where I'm going after this life. It is because of Jesus Christ I know I can handle it. He doesn't give us anything we can't handle. Everyone is put on this earth with talents. We are also put on earth with trials so we can be tested and tried to see which path we take. God wants us to learn and grow through these experiences. Whichever way we respond to these circumstances he will bless us. I was put on this earth with a health condition because God knew I could handle it. He knew I would overcome it and make the best of it. I know after this life I will be perfected. I'm very excited for that day! Sure, sometimes I get down, don't get me wrong, but I think about what I know to be true and it lifts my spirits. I know Jesus Christ is always watching over me. He is on my side. I can feel his spirit always... especially when I pray.

How I live my faith

My faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ is everything to me. I love serving people around me. In church I have the opportunity to assist those who need a little extra help whether it be a shoulder to lean on, needs a ride, or just to let them know I'm always there for them. I go to church with young single adults who are the ages from 19-30. Sometimes we have service projects we do in the community. One we have done for the past two years is help with a down syndrome Christmas and Easter parties for children. I absolutely love seeing the smiles on the kids' faces when they are playing the games and dancing. The most important things in life to me are family, the gospel, and serving others.
