Hi I'm Megan

I'm a student, a volunteer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! I come from a family of seven kids and loving parents who raised us in the Mormon church. My family is spread across the U.S. in 7 states. I get to see at least a couple of them every year. My hobbies are gardening, sewing, knitting, family history, and playing games. I love helping others. It's great to lift someone's burden or just be an ear to listen. I mentor a foster child through a state program. It has been so much fun hanging out and getting to know her for the past few years. I hope I can be a good influence in her life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been Mormon my whole life. When I was a teenager I prayed to Heavenly Father to know whether or not this church was true. I had always gone by what my parents had said. My prayers were answered that this is the true church on the earth today. Since then I have had many experiences that confirms my feelings about this church. I can testify of it's truthfulness. I feel peace and comfort everyday through the spirit. The spirit guides and directs my life. I am so thankful I can turn to God in prayer for help, direction, or just to let him know how I'm feeling. I know he is always listening.

How I live my faith

My faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ is everything to me. I love serving people around me. In church I have the opportunity to assist those who need a little extra help whether it be a shoulder to lean on, needs a ride, or just to let them know I'm always there for them. I go to church with young single adults who are the ages from 19-30. Sometimes we have service projects we do in the community. One we have done for the past two years is help with a down syndrome Christmas and Easter parties for children. I absolutely love seeing the smiles on the kids' faces when they are playing the games and dancing. The most important things in life to me are family, the gospel, and serving others.
