Hi I'm Sherri
I'm a modest fashion blogger and a Zumba instructor. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.
I am a full time student in university majoring in human nutritional sciences. I love to dance, sew, and swim. I especially love to be with my family and friends.
Why I am a Mormon
My dad met Mormon missionaries in the Philippines and at first he wasn't interested but they left an impression with him. He started studying the Book of Mormon on his own and gained a testimony of its truthfulness. He started attending church and later on was baptized and became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He then moved to Canada and met my mom who later on joined the church. Since then my two older sisters, brother, and I were raised going to church and were baptized. This gospel has blessed my family so much with peace and joy. I love being a member of this church. I know that when I am living the teachings of Christ and the principles taught I am the happiest and have a great source of peace. It has given me great hope to know about God's plan of happiness and to know my purpose in life. I am grateful to know that families can be together forever. I have also come to know for myself that the Book of Mormon is God's word and that it is another testament of Jesus Christ. I came to know this by reading and praying to know if it is true. The Book of Mormon blesses my life by strengthening my faith in Jesus Christ and with the answers that I search for.
How I live my faith
Being a member of this church is not just about showing up at church on Sundays but diligently trying to follow Christ's example of loving and helping those around you and continually trying to become better. I try to be a good example to others and live by my values even if it makes me different. I love being involved in church and all the activities. I have an assignment to plan and organize activities. I love this assignment. It's a lot of fun and helps me build friendships and fellowship. I also have an assignment as a visiting teacher, which is to visit a few women in my congregation and share uplifting messages with them, strengthen our friendship, and try to help them with their needs. and I also help the missionaries teach other people, which gives me the opportunity to share my testimony and be a witness of the truthfulness of the restored gospel, the Book of Mormon and how it has blessed my life. I try my best to share this joy that I have found with others because I know it can also bless their lives.
