Hi I'm Peggy
I am married and a mother of four grown children and a grandmother of 3 beautiful grandchildren. I also have two lovely stepdaughters and 5 additional wonderful grandchildren. I work full time for two businesses, one being a future commodities brokerage and the other a very rapidly growing web design and marketing business. I love sewing, crocheting, decorating and anything from the 40's. I am trying to learn to like gardening. I am interested in learning sign language and how to use Quickbooks for accounting.
Why I am a Mormon
Although I was raised in the church, I did not fully gain my testimony until I was grown and starting my own family. When my first child was born, I began to think about when the Savior would come again and worried that I was not ready. I thought about what I would teach my child to prepare her to be strong and worthy of all the blessings that I know Heavenly Father has in store for those who keep His commandments. I began to pray for direction and did my best to keep all of the commandments. I have had many special experiences that have left me with no doubt that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the restored church of Jesus Christ, the very same one that Christ Himself organized when He was on the earth. I know that Joseph Smith really did see Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and that the priesthood is restored to the earth, never to be taken away again. I feel that I have been greatly blessed to know these things for myself, that I can receive inspiration as I need it, and that if I will continue to live righteously, I can always have His spirit to be with me and teach me what I need to do to return to live with Him, and be with my family when I have finished my work here.
How I live my faith
I love to attend church on Sundays and like to study the lessons ahead of time, so I can feel comfortable participating in class. I love learning more about the gospel. I helped organize a very large service project in July where we went out into our community and performed service for several different organizations. I also go out once a month with a companion to visit with 3 ladies, to make sure they are okay. We like to watch out for each other and help anyone who needs help. I study the scriptures and pray each day for courage and strength to live what I believe in spite of the deterioration in moral values that we see so much of these days. I love belonging to a church that enjoys continuing revelation from God. We need that so much, especially now. I love that we have a living prophet who receives direction for our day.
