Hi I'm Laly (Lesley)

I was born in Puerto Rico, I have a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, I love art and I will be a future mom. I’m a Mormon!

About Me

I'm passionate about making crafts, painting, decorating and using my imagination to create different things. Since I was very young, I’ve known people in the sales area and for that reason I graduated from college in marketing, something I enjoy a lot. I like to share time with my family, help and teach people. I think that the family unit is a wonderful opportunity in life and that being married is a different adventure. My husband and I are very close and a lot of projects we have done in our marriage have been a joint effort. Our pastime is to destroy and to build constantly. We’ve always done it in our home and with very little money we’ve built interesting things. In 2009 I went to the state of Arizona, USA, to serve a church mission for 18 months and taught people the knowledge I have gained and the happiness that God has brought into my life.

Why I am a Mormon

Gaining the knowledge of where I lived before I was born, what the purpose of this life is and where would I go after death, with the assurance that there is a God who loves me and that I’m His daughter, motivates me to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. The fact that I get to wake up every day and see that this life as a time of probation and that there is a purpose to live, fills me with happiness. The knowledge that families can be eternal, if I work towards it, brings comfort to my life and helps me to live differently. I’m a Mormon because it makes me very happy.

How I live my faith

At church we have an organization of young women, 12 to 18 years old. I’ve had the privilege to serve for a long time with this group of young girls and help them understand their potential as daughters of God. This organization has a manual called My Personal Progress, where each young girl has to meet goals that will help them get closer to God. I’ve had the opportunity to work with this program and currently urge young women to do the same. In 2009, I had the opportunity to serve as a full-time missionary for The Church and teach people that God, because of His love for us, has restored truths that were lost for centuries; truths that teach of the true loving identity of our Heavenly Father.
