Hi I'm Lacey

I am an Olympic medalist, NCAA Woman of the Year, college graduate and married to the man of my dreams. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am college graduate, and I competed as a student-athlete on the University's Women's Swimming and Diving team. During my career, I was a two-time individual NCAA champion, a 26-time All-American, a member of school, US-Open, American, and NCAA championship record setting relay teams. I was a team captain for two years, and senior member of the program's first NCAA National Championship Team. I was mentioned as the top female student-athlete in 2008. I competed internationally on the USA Swimming team for 5 years 2005-2009. I was a member of American and World Record Relay teams and won several World Championship and Pan Pacific Games medals. In 2008, I was a silver medalist in the Beijing, China Olympic Games. I graduated from college in 2009 with a degree in Physical Education. Later that year, I was chosen out of all Division I,II and III female athletes across all sports as the 2009 NCAA Woman of The Year. This was a great honor, and I regard it as my greatest career achievement. Recently, I was married in the Mesa, AZ Temple to the man of my dreams. I am no longer competing in my sport, but I love sharing my experience with youth through swim clinics and speaking engagments around the country. I work full-time as the aquatics coordinator for the campus recreation center at the local university. I love being around the pool and managing the staff and facility operations. I am an active member of my ward and love working with the youth. I am a Young Women's counselor and enjoy watching the young women blossom into beautiful women of God.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because without the eternal perspective the gospel brings, I would have never achieved so much in my sport or my career. Because of my faith in God's plan for me, I know that I am worth far more than any medal or award can signify. I know that the only way to reach the full measure of our potential is through the help of Jesus Christ. We can achieve a level of greatness no highlight film will ever be able to capture!

How I live my faith

I live my faith through reaching out to those around me. I try to be open to opportunities to share my testimony and encourage others to find their own path and convictions. I live my faith by setting goals for myself not only for my daily life here on earth, but also for my life once I leave this world.
