Hi I'm Frank Mansuetto
I'm a Italian American Mormon, from Brooklyn.
I love fishing in the great Atlantic ocean when I'm not with my ten grandkids. Sports in Ny is a must so I go to all the ball games whenever I can. I was born in Brooklyn to an Italian family and was drafted in the Army during the Vietnam era. I went to Vietnam and I was there for one year in a place called Phu Bai, not far from Hui the old capital of Vietnam. I have tons of stories about my stay for three years in the military. My wife Thea loves art and we often we go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC. We cook together and love to eat new and interesting receipees. We have a favorite Indian, Italian and Japaneese returant. We have four children located in Virginia Beach, Madison New Jersey, Idaho falls, and Salt Lake City.
Why I am a Mormon
Wow! what a trip through life. It happened after Vietnam and when I returned home after a nasty reception from friends I had one year left in the Military. There was a time during my stay in Ft Lewis washington state that I was wondering what I would do once my service was done. i always felt that I life must have some kind of meaning other than your born and you die. If that was the case I felt that living really didn't mean much. I guess without getting all religious, the reason I am a Mormon is because I asked for it. I wanted to know what to do with my life after my military service and was surprised with a religion as an answer to my question, instead of some phenominal concept or secret. It surprised me and it wasn't what i wanted or expected. But here I am a Mormon, funny how life works.
How I live my faith
We are in a very unusual area of the world where Mormons might as well be an indangered species. There isn't too many of us. I've served in the church when I first was baptised after my military service on a mission in France for two years, as a Branch President in Queens and a million other callings Young Mens President and scouting to the High Counsel. I did it all, but so do most Mormons in this part of the world. I serve because I'm asked to and I also love to help people. I have been given lots and share it when I can.
