How to Incorporate the Plan of Happiness into Your Everyday Life

Comfort and happiness are found through the plan that Heavenly Father has carefully crafted for His children. The plan of salvation, also knows as the plan of happiness, can be observed and experienced in your everyday life. Here are three ways you can experience His plan:

1. Give

From every gift to every kind act rendered you over the years, you have been given more than you may realize. You can give through service to a stranger, help to a friend in need, or spending quality time with those close to your heart. As you put aside distractions and give important time and attention to others, you can develop a better understanding of God’s love for you.

2. Forgive

“But as oft as they repented and sought forgiveness, with real intent, they were forgiven” (Moroni 6:8).

No one is perfect, but because of God’s plan, you can be forgiven of your personal mistakes through Jesus Christ. Sometimes the decisions or actions of others may hurt you. As you forgive others, you will gain an understanding of Heavenly Father's mercy and love for you and all of His children.

3. Live

The purpose of this life is to learn and have joy. Do things that make you happy. Take time for yourself to contemplate and remember all of the blessings you have been given. If you follow God’s commandments, you will find joy in this life and in the life to come.

The plan of happiness is for you. The true joy of God’s plan comes from the family, developing meaningful lasting relationships, and heeding the teachings of Jesus Christ. Following Him and His plan will bring true happiness.
