Laura says, “There’s life after divorce—and good life after divorce.” Though not all stories end the way Allan and Laura’s does, the principle is true for everyone: after any tragedy, hardship, or difficulty we experience, hope and healing are available through Jesus Christ.

In the Bible (Isaiah 51:3) it says, “For the Lord shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.” Life after divorce can feel like a wilderness—a wasteland of sorrow and broken hopes. But as you turn to God, ask for His help, and watch for His hand in your life, ever so slowly, beautiful things—like stronger relationships, purified character, and greater empathy—grow from the ashes and make life beautiful again. Because of Jesus Christ, there is always hope.
