Hi I'm Mossi
I'm A Husband and Father, a Voice Over Artist, a Musician, an Actor, and I'm a Mormon.
How should i describe myself? Oh... Heres one...I love music. When i was twelve i got my first guitar and from then on I was hooked. Its kinda been the most consistent thing about me since then. I have been in several bands and written music for plenty of different projects and over the past few the years music has played a central role in my career. Let's see... I love my family. I got married when i was 25 and three years later we had our first child. I'm a Dad but i'm new to the whole game of fatherhood so i'm still trying to figure out if i'm good at it or not. I enjoy several hobbies but when i'm not playing music, skateboarding and surfing are what i do most. (I guess because most of my teen years were spent living in Orange County.) Heres the fun part, I'm still in college...I spent ten years getting an AA and now I'm finally pursuing a bachelors degree. I feel like I'm the old guy in all my classes but I'm stoked because I might actually graduate soon.
Why I am a Mormon
Throughout my life I have had several experiences that have taught me about Jesus Christ. Some of them were good and some of them were bad but all of them have taught me about God and his love for me. There have been several incidents that have tested my beliefs about God, and faith, and even my existence, but the interesting thing is that with all these tests came questions. I consider these questions to be great things because I have had to find answers on my own and have learned that as i have served others and tried to live like Jesus Christ I have found answers to questions, solutions to problems and even clarity when I need direction. I know that God wants all of us to be happy and that he also wants us to be able to understand how to find joy and purpose in our lives. To me the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has given me that kind of experience. The whole goal for me is to live like Christ to love one another and to be a friend or brother to anyone I meet. Thats exactly what i've been taught as a Mormon. I'm not always Mr. Happy, I'm not perfect, I often do dumb things and sometimes i get bummed on people and things they do but being a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has also helped me realize that life is sometimes challenging and that sometimes people can misunderstand each other, sometimes we make wrong choices and that sometimes being the good and happy person isn't all that easy. In the end I am a mormon because although we may go through all of these experiences, I know that God loves each one of us equally and wants all of us to be able to be with him again regardless of what types of things we have done in this life. I know that God loves us so much that he provided a way for us to come to an understanding of who we are and how we can potentially find joy forever and thats an awesome thing.
How I live my faith
Mostly I think it's important to love each other. I feel like the greatest thing we can do for each other is to try and see each other for who we are and what we have potential to become. I think I live my faith by loving others. I love people and the interesting stories that everyone has to share. I feel like everybody has a story and I have found that know matter who shares their experiences with me I usually walk away feeling inspired. People are interesting because we are all so dynamic. I think thats what makes this life so great. I have seen with my own eyes that when we share love, compassion and understanding with one another we do have the power to move mountains.
