Hi I'm Joy

I grew up in Hawaii. I believe that a little salt water cures almost anything and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated from BYU with a degree in Accounting (but I don't consider myself an accountant) . I live in Hawaii with my husband. I rarely let a day go by without getting the ocean, whether it be surfing or just a quick swim. I use the ocean as my daily therapy session.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have learned through personal experiences that it is the best way to live a happy life. I'm most happy when I am living my beliefs.

How I live my faith

I always try to set good examples for those around me. I also love following inspiring examples of the people I meet. I figure if I am able to emulate those people (from all religions) around me I will be able to be a better Mormon.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Joy
Believe him. I have learned that our Savior promises us so much and we have to believe that he can come through with his promises. Once we learn to trust him, we will have more and more faith as we see his promises fulfilled in our lives. Show more Show less

What is a ward/stake/branch?

Joy
A WARD is the congregation that members are apart of within a geographical area. A STAKE consists of multiple WARDS within an even larger geographical area. For example, I am a member of the Hawaii Kai Ward in the Honolulu Stake. A BRANCH is very similar to a WARD, except it consists of less people. Show more Show less
