I'm Parker, and I recently returned from serving a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I served in the Oregon Eugene Mission and the Oregon Salem Mission. I love music :) I beatbox. It's my passion, and its my dream to beatbox professionally and get known in the "YouTube World." I also would love to start an acapella group this fall during my first track at BYU-I. I play drums, saxophone, and french horn. During high school I played football and participated in Drama and Musical Theatre. I live in POKY! (Pocatello, ID) I really love it here and I would claim it as my home ANY DAY. :) I was born into an LDS family in Greeley Colorado, in which I lived until certain trials in my life took place. These trials were very hard, but I know they were necessary to make me the person I am today. As I've learned more about this Gospel, I've built a very strong Testimony and have learned a lot of lessons. One of which, is the blessing of understanding that everything happens for a reason, and that it's all part of our Loving Heavenly Father's plan for us. I hated those events that took place when I was young and in Greeley...But I love who I am and where I am now :) I'm a "lets laugh and have tons of fun" kinda guy. I love and appreciate my friends and family! I know this Gospel has blessed my family and I, and that it will continue to bless families everywhere.
I was born into an LDS family. I've been Mormon my whole life. However, I have made it MY choice to continue living it. Why? Because I have come to my own knowledge that this is indeed the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have seen this Gospel change lives for the better physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Including my own life. Prayer is absolutely amazing. I am confident when I say He can comfort you in any situation. I have felt His love and comfort. I have gained my own spiritual manifestation that He really IS there. I have a strong testimony of "Friendship." I have seen that being a great friend to everybody will change lives. All you have to do is wear a smile, laugh, wave to people, shake hands, hug or whatever... but just be friendly to people. God places our closest friends, brothers, and sisters in our pathways every day- its just up to us whether we accept them or not. So accept them (:
I strive to Live my Faith by going out with the missionaries! When you go out with the missionaries and teach someone something SO great and important to you, and you see them become happier...it blesses you. It brings such a positive effect into your own life. You begin to recognize the Spirit so much more clearly. I don't know about everyone else but...I need that in my life. I also strive to live my faith by being a good example. Making good choices is something SO important in our own lives, but can be important for others' lives as well. They SEE you making good choices. You never know what something so simple (the choices you make) can do for someone else in their life. I love this Gospel so much, and am thankful for the person its made me today.
