Chat With a Mormon Online
I was raised the last of five kids. I grew up with parents who were converts to the church of Jesus Christ, but i never really applied any of the teachings of the church into my life. Growing up i loved playing sports and just being active out side. when i get the chance to relax i like to read. when i was 18 i started searching after God in my life for the first time. after searching for God within different religions i finally read the book of Mormon through encouragement from somebody at church. For the first time i truly felt that i was talking to God. i decided soon after to serve a mission and am now in Nevada on a mission. my testimony of the savior and of the truthfulness of this work has been strengthened. growing up just as a normal kid in the world i kn ow that everybody can receive a witness that God lives and is mindful of everyone of us, And that he has restored his authority and also his church through living men who are special witnesses of God. God does not make men to go to church. He makes church so that men can know how to receive a remission of sins and follow their savior. This church is the one that God has re-established and leads it today through a prophet just as he did before.
I am a Mormon because i have studied, pondered and prayed for many days about God. i have learned that he lives and that that is the only thing that truly matters. i am Mormon because he has told me through much studying, pondering and praying that this is the only place to have a fullness of his teachings and that has his proper authority to do so.
The book of Mormon in my life is probably one of the biggest influences that i have had. simply because when it was the first thing that i read that testified to my heart that God truly does live. that may be because i ignored answers that i previously had gotten, but when for the first time i thirsted after God this was the thing that gave me the knowledge that God lived and knew me personally . The book of Mormon is either the Word of God or it is false, and i share with every person that the Book of Mormon is true and only those who spiritually seek it shall find. for the natural man does not comprehend the things of God
living my faith is just who i am. everyone lives how he or she believes. you can see the true nature of people by the way they act and treat other people. i live my faith everyday by being who I am, and trying everyday to be better. currently I am serving a two year mission as a representative of Jesus Christ. everyday i read the scriptures pray and look for opportunities to find people who don't have this that they may experience the blessings that come from making promises with God under his organization which is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
