Chat With a Mormon Online
I graduated with a medical assistant degree when I was 18. I am a mother and a wife. I love to crochet, cook, read and I absolutely love spending time with my family.
I grew up changing faiths constantly. I could never find where I belonged. One day some missionaries visited me and I investigated the church. The very first time I walked into the building it echoed off the walls and into my heart "Welcome home" I knew this is where I belonged.
My baptism was the same as any other except it was done with the power of the priesthood. I was in all white along with the Elder who baptized me. We sang beautiful hymns and had talks on baptism and the Holy Ghost. And I still had to go all the way under the water to make it official.
I always wondered how the Native Americans (Indians) came to be here. The Book of Mormon has answered a lot of those questions. It also has brought me closer to God by bringing to light what Jesus meant in His sermon on the Mount about having "a flock not of this fold". He was talking about the Nephites in America. It helps me connect better knowing that He knows all of us and our needs and wants. And the knowledge that He is here when we ask brings my soul to peace.
I share my testimony with people I meet. I teach my children the gospel and how to pray to Heavenly Father. I visit teach sisters in my ward. I try very hard to make sure that the person I am at church is the person I am out in the world. I love the church and am very happy to be involved with it. My favorite calling was primary. Teaching children the gospel is such a blessing.
