Chat With a Mormon Online
I am currently serving a mission in Belgium and the Netherlands, dutch speaking! I love it! I am a history major, chocoholic, movie lover, kind of a nerd, and I love life!
I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I loved it but when I was thirteen years old I knew it was time I stopped hanging on to the testimony of my parents and to discover for myself. I was at a youth camp and before I even asked I felt the love of my Father in heaven at the beautiful world that was surrounding me. I prayed. Asked my Father. Spoke to him as I would a father here on earth. And I have a testimony he listens. He knows me individually and loves me in that sweet way a father loves his daughter but so much deeper.I am a Mormon because it brings me the sweetest joy and strength. The knowledge gained through this gospel that God speaks to his children and answers our prayers today has been the ultimate guiding factor in my personal revelation. I know God speaks to his children, I know he loves all of them and knows each of us personally. Our Savior died for us. What greater example of love is there? All so we could return to our Father in Heaven. I know God answers prayers and he has brought peace and love to my soul regarding the Prophet Joseph Smith and all he did to help bring about this gospel and I know this church is the church of Christ.
It is the Savior's ultimate example of love that has influenced my life the greatest. When you step back and look at it, what an amazing feeling to know someone loved you so much they gave their lives for you. That you could have a chance at eternal happiness. Something I don't think is fully comprehended very easily but the Savior's atonement is something I use every day of my life. It is because of that sacrifice that I know my Savior and brother Jesus Christ knows me and my struggles better than anyone. I know he has experienced all of my trials and what great comfort that gives me to know I can unfailingly turn to him on a daily basis. The atonement gives me strength and the desire to make myself worthy of that great sacrifice.
I am serving a mission in the Belgium/Netherlands mission! I get the privelege to go out every day and give people the message of the Gospel that makes me so unbelievably happy, as well as the hope that comes with it!
