Jannae: Mormon.

Hi I'm Jannae

About Me

I enjoy running, playing the piano, cooking, crocheting and playing soccer. I'm a Freshman attending college and I like to travel. My mother was born and raised in Canada, so I love to go and visit my family up there.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon is something that I have loved. It gives me purpose in life and an understanding of why I am here. It gives me hope and peace.

Personal Stories

What are you doing to help strengthen your family and make it successful?

In my family, we all have different personalities. This sometimes makes it hard for all of us to get along and to agree on doing something together. However, we have come up with a solution: we take turns and support each other. One week it's my turn to pick the activity, the next week it's my brother's and we all support each others decisions and don't complain. This helps us to become closer by doing things together and knowing that each of us has support from our siblings.

How has the Book of Mormon brought you closer to God?

Growing up as a kid, I didn't quite understand the importance of the Book of Mormon as I do now. This book has brought me closer to God because I have taken the time to read and ask if it was true. I love reading it each night before I go to bed and being able to ponder what God is trying to tell me through these stories. I have felt the spirit more strongly while reading the Book of Mormon than I have at any other time. I know it is of God.

How I live my faith

I regularly attend Institute at my college. We have weekly activities, attend home evening, and go to church. I am called to be the a Home Evening group leader. I have the opportunity to organize a weekly meeting where we have a spiritual lesson, play games, and enjoy each others company.
