Hi I'm McKay

About Me

I am from Las Vegas, NV born and raised!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon but my conversion came at age 17 when I wanted to know if the Church is true. I knew that if I knelt down and asked my Father in Heaven if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was true or not he would let me know. I received an answer to my prayer and I know this church is true. We are all entitled to personal revelation.

Personal Stories

Why do Mormons go on missions?

Latter Day Saints choose to serve missions for the Lord because of the love they have for Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ. I think of it like seeing a good movie, when you see a good movie you tell your friends about it. The Church is that "good movie" and we have desires to let others partake of the blessings we have recieved from being members of the church.

In what ways have your prayers been answered?

I feel that God answers our prayers everyday just a lot of times we do not recognize those answers. I try to always look for the ways that the Lord is blessing me and answering my prayers. I know that Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers. He is there to help us, always. I have felt his comfort in my times of need as well as His excitement when I have expressed my faith. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me.

How does making right choices help us make more right choices?

When we make good decisions the Lord helps us and gives us added support in continuing to be obedient to his commandments. When we do good we feel the spirit, when we make poor choices we cannot feel the spirit of the Lord as easily.

How I live my faith

I try to live a life that is consistent with the teachings of Christ and that is my way of showing my love to my Savior.
