Marcus: Mormon.

Hi I'm Marcus

About Me

I like doing things that make me use my creativity. I don't like math at all. I lived in Switzerland for a while. I believe that you can choose to be happy, even if things are going so well. I really like baseball and love the smell of freshly mowed grass. Glasses are cooler than contacts.

Why I am a Mormon

I want to have a happy life and I've noticed that following the Gospel of Jesus Christ makes me happy. God has restored his church upon the Earth so that we can lead happy lives and have inner peace. True happiness comes from following Jesus Christ and this church helps me to understand who He was/is and what he expects from us and the more I learn of Him, the happier I am.

Personal Stories

How has attending Church services helped you?

Being able to associate with other people who also have a love for God and Jesus Christ helps to strengthen me in my decision to follow them. I've also learned much from other's experiences with the scriptures and things that they've gone through. Church is a great place to share feelings and experiences in a non-hostile environment.

Which of the Savior’s teachings have influenced you in your life?

The Savior taught us that the greatest commandment is to love our God and to love one another. As I have tried to develop love for my neighbors, I have been happier and have developed better relationships. As I try to love others I come to realize how much love our Savior has for us and it is a great feeling.

How I live my faith

I go to church every week to honor God and Jesus Christ and in return I get strengthened for the coming week. I try my best to always love others and not to do things that would disappoint my Heavenly Father. I believe that the most important thing we can do is to love and serve each other, regardless of differences in beliefs, political affiliations, race, etc. I served a mission for the church in Switzerland and was able to spend 2 years of my life serving and helping others come closer to Christ. It was awesome.
