Hi I'm Jordan

About Me

I love to paint, sketch, sculpt, and write poetry. I have big ambitions and I am not afraid to follow my heart. I am currently learning French so I can live my dream of visiting France. I love adventure. I spend a lot of my time reading or laughing with my family and friends, and I always try to be optimistic and happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised in the church, but I know that without it I would not be as happy as I am now. As I have gone through challenges in my life, I have found the church extremely comforting. Since I have been raised in the church, I had built a relationship with God. I know that we are never alone and that we can always pray and no matter what the circumstance is, he will listen. I can't even imagine living without the church in my life. The church has made me the happy and optimistic girl I am today.

Personal Stories

Please explain the part prayer plays in your life?

Personal prayer plays a huge role in my life. A few years ago I had some troubles with my friends, but instead of being overwhelmed by loneliness, I began building a stronger relationship with my Heavenly Father. As I had told him my concerns, he had blessed me with knowledge that I hold very dear to my heart. I focused a lot on the Atonement, or when he died for us. A very important part of the Atonement to me, is that in the Garden of Gesthsemane Jesus Christ had felt the pain and suffering of everyone that had lived, did live, and every would live. This means that he is the only one who knows exactly how we feel. This helped me gain my testimony that we are never alone, because he knows how we feel. Knowing this has built a strong bond between my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Now I know I can ask and tell Heavenly Father anything because I know he will bless me. Without personal prayer, I do not know if I could be as happy as I am today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by staying happy. I look on the bright side of things and always try to cheer people up. I am always willing to help people, and I try to include everybody so no one is ever left out or feels alone. Whether it is at school, or at home, you always find me trying to make someone smile. I also live my faith by keeping the standards and making sure to be dressed modestly, keep my language clean, and to keep myself healthy. I also developed habits of scripture reading and personal prayer so I can build my relationship with God even more. I always strive to be the best me I can be!
