Hi I'm Joshua

About Me

I am first and foremost a big nerd. I love to read, write, paint, and take photos. But that’s not really important. The MOST Important thing to know about me is that I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or the Mormon Church. Although I was raised in an LDS household, I never felt pushed into being a member. I wanted to become a member because I saw the Joy and Happiness that comes from membership. We moved around a lot growing up, so it was hard for me to feel a solid connection to any ONE place. However I never felt alone, or out of place, BECAUSE of my membership in the Lord's Church. Moving from Columbus Ohio to Mons Belgium, was a tough move, however the FIRST Sunday there, we went to the SAME church I went to in Columbus. Though the Members were drastically different, and the fact that half of the service was presented in FRENCH, I felt the PEACE of being HOME. And then the same thing happened when I moved here to Arkansas, I was HOME.I am about to Leave for two years to serve a mission for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And that is going to be tough, however I KNOW without a doubt that My Savior will be with me as I serve Him and his Church. I know that this is the True Church of God on the Earth. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and the through Him, the Book of Mormon was Brought forth. I am truly humbled to be called to be a Missionary, to the People of Carlsbad California. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ Amen

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of This Church; however I was never truly converted until I was 18. I went through some pretty, "tough" things in High school. Let’s just say, it was becoming hard (at that time) for me to keep up with my faith. It’s funny how you can have something your whole life and never really appreciate it until you no longer have it. I had always known about the Book of Mormon, I had read parts of it. I was very familiar with it. However I truly gained a testimony of it when I read it, read it and prayed about what I read. I know it is true, I know that, because IT IS TRUE that Joseph Smith was a true prophet; which means everything he taught and preached was true, and that every prophet and apostle since, right Down to PRESIDENT THOMAS S. MONSON is This is the Gospel of happiness. Though it you can be happy. It’s not a temporary happiness, but an eternal joy, that will envelope your whole being. I know from my own experiences that when we come to our Father in Humble prayer, our prayer WILL be answered. Mine was and I know that yours will be too. The answer may not come quickly, it may be subtle. However I know with my whole heart, that it will be answered.

Why do Mormons go on missions?

We go on missions to spread the Gospel of Hope and Love throughout the world. So that souls may come to the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith one day at a time. Its not easy, but it is certanly not hard. I start my day with a prayer. and go from there. Mostly I just try and live my life in a way which would be pleasing to my Heavenly Father and my Lord Jesus Christ. I love reading the Book of Mormon and I know that I is true. I will be leaving for Two years to serve a Mission in Carlsbad California.
