Matt: Family, mission in Indiana, happy, single, sign spinner, Durrant, Mormon.

Hi I'm Matt

About Me

I am in the middle of my brothers and sisters. There are four girls and eight boys. I enjoy hanging out with them. We do things like play sword fights with sticks, play video games, and walk to the store. My family moved from Utah to California for about two years, had me, then moved back. I enjoy reading books, fantasy and history mostly, riding my bike, whether to work or just around the block, and going to church functions.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints because it is the true and living church of Jesus Christ in these latter days, or last days. I was raised in the church, but as everyone must gain their own testimony, so did I. My testimony in part is as follows: God lives. He loves each and every one of us. Jesus is the Christ. Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. He translated(or changed from one language to another) the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon is true. I read from it every day and the peace it brings into my life I wouldn't trade for anything this world has to offer. These things are true.

Personal Stories

How has the Book of Mormon brought you closer to God?

By reading it every day and studying it, I have found my love for God grow stronger and deeper, I feel at peace when I read it. I learn more about who I pray to.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a home teaching superviser; which means I help people visit families they are assigned to visit and teach. Mostly I call and encourage them to visit their families, sometimes I will go with them and help that way. I love serving those around me. I love seeing the joy that comes from selfless service. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has brought me joy and happiness which I want to share with my brothers and sisters.
